Happy Accidents - Photography Without Focus

Occasionally it is fun to not focus on what you are shooting. 

Instead don't look through the viewfinder or frame the shot using the LCD screen, just randomly aim and click the shutter. 

Just point in the general direction of the subject you would like to capture, click, then hope for a happy accident.

During Shipwreck Days, I tried this. Instead of bringing the camera up to my eye, looking through the viewfinder and framing the shot,  I shot from the hip. I just randomly aimed and clicked the shutter, not sure of what I was going to capture.

When doing this, you are freeing your mind and exploring your creativity untethered. 
Besides, it is just plain fun...
